Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin is a Canadian and New Zealand actress. Paquin is a native of Winnipeg and grew up in Wellington and first made her acting debut in the role of Flora McGrath when she played the character in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 years old for Best Actress Supporting Actress. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin was born on July 24 in 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster in the category of Best Supporting actress for acting as the bright and interesting girl who played Holly Hunter's leading character on the film The Piano. The actress was chosen to play Flora McGrath the daughter of an mute Scottish pianist, who in the mid-19th century moves back to New Zealand for an arranged wedding after she accepted an audition open to all at the age of nine. She was old and had almost no previous acting experience. When she moved into New Zealand, in the United States, she became an adolescent. Paquin was Jane Eyre's protagonist as a teenager in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (2000) and her main character of Jane Eyre in Fly Away Home (2000). Paquin appeared as Frankie Addams in a 1997 television movie adaptation of the novel by Carson McCullers The Member of the Wedding and also played a part as Queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (1997). She played teens in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon (1998) as well as Almost Famous (2000). She also portrayed the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa.
